Northern Territory Police have arrested a female in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Alice Springs this morning.
Around 7.40am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of an adult male allegedly being struck by a vehicle at a residential complex in Alice Springs.
An adult female was driving a silver BMW and had allegedly driven into the complex and collided with a tree. She allegedly then drove towards the male victim who was in the front of his unit, striking him and pinning him against a wall. The two are believed to be known to each other.
The offender fled the scene in the vehicle prior to police arrival.
Emergency services responded and the victim was assessed at the scene by St Johns Ambulance personnel for non-life-threatening injuries to his legs and feet.
Police identified and located the female offender a short time later at a nearby service station. She was arrested and returned a positive alcohol breath test reading.
Two crime scenes were declared and police are investigating the incident.
