Police Make Arrest – Domestic Violence In Alice Springs 22 August

Northern Territory Police have arrested a woman in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Alice Springs this morning.

Around 3.10am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a man had allegedly been struck by a vehicle in Alice Springs.

The woman was allegedly driving the car involved and the two had been involved in a verbal altercation shortly before the incident occurred. The offender and victim are believed to be known to one another.

The victim suffered injuries to his arm and leg and was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The offender was located and arrested by police a short time later.

A crime scene was declared, and investigations are ongoing.
