Police Make Arrest – Domestic Violence – Ti-Tree

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in relation to domestic violence offences in Ti-Tree yesterday.

The man had been identified as a domestic violence offender and was outstanding for multiple offences.

Investigations by Tennant Creek Detectives, assisted by Ti-Tree Police, allowed for a co-ordinated response to arrest the Willowra man in Ti-Tree.

He was arrested without incident and has since been charged with:

  • 7 x Aggravated assault
  • 2 x Recklessly endanger serious harm
  • Threats to kill
  • Chocking, Strangling, suffocating
  • 2 x Going armed in public
  • 3 x Armed with an offensive weapon at night
  • 4 x Breach DVO

He was remanded in custody to appear in Alice Springs Local Court later today.

Detective Sergeant Nicholas George said, “Domestic violence is a scourge on our society, and NT Police are dedicated to combatting it on all fronts.

“We will utilise all resources available to us to bring these perpetrators before the court.
