Strike Force Vulcan detectives have charged a woman in relation to lighting fires in Glen Forrest on Friday, 6 December 2019.
It is alleged about 7.20am, the woman lit a fire at the base a tree located on a heavily wooded area of Burkinshaw Road, before walking away.
A short time later the woman lit two small fires on M J Morgan Reserve on Railway Parade. The fires were extinguished at the woman taken into custody at the scene.
A 46-year-old woman from Midland has been charged with:
• Three counts of Lighting or Attempting to Light a Fire Likely to Injure or Damage.
She is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on 17 December 2019.
This offence carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
