An 18-year-old man has been arrested in relation to multiple unlawful entries in Tennant Creek overnight.
Police responded to a report of an unlawful entry and criminal damage at a home on Schmidt Street and arrested a man matching the offender’s description nearby, just after midnight.
It will be alleged the man matched the description of an offender at two separate earlier unlawful entries during which the occupants were at home.
It is further alleged the man was found in possession of items stolen from one of these incidents.
The rapid response of Tennant Creek general duties officers to these incidents resulted in the offender being identified and arrested.
The man is expected to be charged with two counts of Aggravated Unlawful Entry, two count of Criminal damage, one count each of Stealing and Trespass – enclosed premises.
