Northern Territory Police have arrested three males in relation to an unlawful entry in Humpty Doo yesterday.
Shortly after 5am, CCTV captures the trio ramming a stolen Toyota Prado into a commercial business in Humpty Doo, before unlawfully entering via the damage roller door and stealing a quantity of alcohol.
The offenders left the scene, driving the stolen vehicle to a fuel station in Durack, before refuelling and allegedly driving off without paying.
Strike Force Trident members located the stolen vehicle parked in Malak, with offenders still inside. Trident members acted swiftly arresting a 21-year-old man, before the vehicle sped off and was abandoned in Alawa. Members gave chase on foot, arresting another 21-year-old man who was attempting to climb a fence to evade police. Both men were taken to Palmerston Watch House.
The 21- year-old man was charged with:
- 3 x unlawful entry (building)
- 1 x unlawful entry (dwelling)
- 4 x damage to property
- 3 x stealing
- 1 x aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
- 1 x deprive a person of personal liberty
The second 21-year-old man was charged with:
- Unlawful entry
- Damage to property
- Stealing
- Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
The pair were remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
Later that day, general duties members identified the outstanding offender in Darwin CBD in possession of the stolen alcohol. The 22-year-old was arrested and taken to Palmerston Watch House. It was later identified that the man had involvement in two previous unlawful entries earlier this week.
The 22-year-old man was charged with:
- 4 x unlawful entry (building)
- 3 x damage to property
- 4 x stealing
- 1 x aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
- 1 x drive a motor vehicle whilst unlicensed.
The man was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
