Shepparton Uniform police have arrested five people after a vehicle was intercepted and search warrants were executed on Christmas day.
Officers were patrolling Numurkah Road when they pulled over a blue BMW sedan on Saturday, 25 December about 3am.
Police allegedly located $2,500 cash and various drugs including what’s believed to be methylamphetamine during a search of the vehicle.
The occupants of the vehicle, a 34-year-old Tatura man and two Shepparton men, aged 35 and 29 were arrested.
Two further people were arrested after a search warrant was executed at an address in Longstaff Street about 12pm where it’s alleged $6,000 cash and a quantity of what’s believed to be methylamphetamine was located.
A 35-year-old Shepparton man was charged with traffick methylamphetamine, possess methylamphetamine and possess GHB. He was remanded to appear at the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on S29 December.
A 34-year-old Tatura man was charged with breach of bail. He was bailed to appear at the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on 4 February.
A 29-year-old Shepparton man was charged with possess methylamphetamine. He was bailed to appear at the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on 20 May.
A 37-year-old Shepparton man was charged with traffick methylamphetamine. He was bailed to appear at the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on 25 February.
A 29-year-old Shepparton woman was released pending further enquiries.
