Police Make Arrests – Aggravated Burglary In Katherine

Northern Territory Police have arrested five offenders in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Katherine on Tuesday night.

Around 11:00 pm, police received reports that a group of five males allegedly unlawfully entered and business near Katherine Terrace, causing significant property damage before stealing multiple store items and fleeing the scene on foot.

A short time later Katherine general duty police arrested a 23-year-old man who has since been charged.

Strike Force Cerberus conducted further investigations resulting in the identification of two 13-year-old and two 10-year-old youths who have since been arrested and dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.

Senior Sergeant Stephen Jones said, “Katherine Police are committed to tackling property crime, recognising the serious impact it has on our community.

“Katherine Police will continue to work tirelessly to investigate incidents, identify offenders and bring them before the courts.”
