Northern Territory Police have arrested four people for commercial cannabis cultivation.
Detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Squad attended a residence at Fly Creek and executed a search warrant around 10:30am yesterday.
474 mature cannabis plants were located on the property along with a stored methamphetamines laboratory and precursor chemicals. 126 of the plants were located in a 40 foot shipping container which was converted to a purpose built hydroponics grow room. A further three kilograms of dried cannabis head from the harvested plants was seized from drying racks in the main shed along with an unsecured air rifle and 12G ammunition.
A second search warrant was executed at a residence in Rosebery where 3.9 kilograms of cannabis was located.
A 41-year-old female and three males, aged 31, 41, and 42, were arrested and refused bail.
They were scheduled to appear at Darwin Local Court today on the following charges;
• Cultivate a commercial quantity of cannabis
• Possess cannabis in a commercial quantity x 2
• Supply cannabis in a commercial quantity x 2
• Unlawfully possess property
• Possess a firearm whilst Unlicensed
• Fail to meet storage requirements x 2
• Possess ammunition without a licence x 2
• Possess equipment to manufacture a dangerous drug
