Northern Territory Police have arrested four youths after a premises in Darwin City was unlawfully entered this morning.
At around 2:50am, police received a report that a white Nissan Navara duel cab utility had been stolen from Leanyer.
An hour later, the vehicle was used in a ram raid on a licensed premises in Buffalo Court. A large quantity of alcohol was stolen with the offenders fleeing the scene in the vehicle.
Police located the vehicle driving dangerously in Winnellie a short time later. A pursuit was briefly undertaken but quickly terminated due to safety concerns.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in Gunn with the stolen alcohol still in the rear.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, “Detectives from Strike Force Trident arrested four males this afternoon all aged 14. They are expected be charged later today.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information is urged to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference number 10008825.”
