Detectives from the Southern District Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested nine people for drug trafficking offences after searching numerous premises in the southern suburbs yesterday.
On Wednesday 29 January, after a complex multi-faceted investigation detectives searched six properties and arrested five men and four women. ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s in Hackham West, Aldinga Beach, Christie Downs and Morphett Vale were searched and police located and seized 100 grams of methamphetamine, approximately $11,000 and drug equipment.
A 42-year-old woman from Hackham West has been charged with 53 counts of trafficking in a controlled drug. A 55-year-old Hackham West man has been charged with 7 counts of trafficking in a controlled drug.
Three people were arrested at a Christie Downs home, a 44-year-old woman, a 39-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were all charged with trafficking in a controlled drug.
Two houses in Morphett Vale were searched and a 49-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were both charged with seven counts of trafficking in a controlled drug. A 32-year-old man was charged with six counts and a 41-year-old woman with one count of trafficking in a controlled drug.
They were all refused bail and appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today, Thursday 30 January.
