A police officer has been charged over fraud offences, which are alleged to have occurred last year.
Following an investigation by officers from the Professional Standards Command, a 38-year-old male sergeant was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for three counts of recklessly deal with proceeds of crime more than $5000 today (Monday 8 July 2024).
He is due to appear before Taree Local Court on Tuesday 20 August 2024.
The officer’s employment status is currently under review.
