A 29-year-old constable from Southern Region has been served with a notice to appear in relation to an alleged assault occasioning bodily harm whilst on duty last December involving excessive use of force towards a man.
The member has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on December 4, 2024.
In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct.
This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.
