Two Queensland Police officers have been charged following allegations of misconduct while off duty last year.
A 54-year-old male sergeant and a 54-year-old female senior constable from the Southern Region have been charged with misconduct in relation to Public Office after an alleged off duty conduct on May 23 last year.
Both have been suspended from the Queensland Police Service and are expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 13.
In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct.
This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.
