Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Durong

A woman has died and four people have been transported to hospital after a single vehicle traffic crash in Durong this afternoon.

Preliminary investigations indicate a car was travelling west along Chinchilla Wondai Road when it rolled just after 2pm.

A 26-year-old Loganlea woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver, a 25-year-old Loganlea man, was transported by helicopter to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

A 4-year-old boy was transported by helicopter to the Queensland Children’s Hospital, also in a critical condition.

A 2-year-old boy and a 1-year-old boy were both transported to Kingaroy Hospital as a precaution.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
