Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating a traffic crash at Nambour this morning.
Initial investigations indicate shortly before 8am a Nissan X-trail was headed south on the Nambour Connection Road when it has hit a parked semi-trailer.
The driver and sole occupant, a 42-year-old Sunshine Coast man, died at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
