The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man died in a traffic crash near Bundaberg on Saturday (October 2).
Shortly after 4.00pm, a white station wagon collided with the rear of a detached truck trailer positioned on the shoulder of the road.
An 85-year-old Avenell Heights man, the driver and sole occupant of the station wagon, was transported to Bundaberg Hospital but was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
A report will be prepared for the coroner with the Forensic Crash Unit asking for any witnesses to contact police.
