A 29-year-old Flaxton woman has died following a traffic crash at Woombye this afternoon.
Initial investigations indicate just after 1:30pm, the woman was travelling south along McKenzie Road near the intersection of Foley Road in a black 2008 suzuki swift before it left the roadway, struck a tree and careened down a small embankment.
Members of the public immediately came to the woman’s aid, however she died from her injuries at the scene.
Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the crash or the moments leading up to it to contact police.
