A man has died following a traffic crash between a four-wheel drive and a motorbike at Cooee Bay this morning.
Preliminary information suggests a Ford Territory and motorbike collided on Matthew Flinders Drive just before 10.40am.
The motorbike rider, a 28-year-old Yeppoon man, sustained critical injuries and was transported to hospital where he was declared deceased.
The 29-year-old male driver of the Territory did not sustain any physical injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have dashcam vision to contact police
