The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating after a man was seriously injured in a crash at Springfield Central early this morning (October 22).
Initial investigations indicate at 2.18am an Audi was travelling west on Southern Cross Circuit between Sirius Drive and Main Street when the vehicle has lost control, crossed to the wrong side of the dual carriage way and collided with a Kia headed in the opposite direction.
The 35-year-old male driver of a the Kai was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
The 23-year-old male driver and female passenger of the Audi were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Investigations are continuing to establish if alcohol was a contributing factor to the crash.
