Police Responding To Serious Traffic Crash At Westwood

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a 67-year-old man was critically injured in a single-vehicle traffic crash near Westwood this afternoon, July13.

Initial investigations indicate just after 4pm, a Mitsubishi Triton utility was travelling north along the Leichhardt Highway, approximately one kilometre from the Capricorn Highway, when it left the road and rolled.

The passenger, a 67-year-old Westbrook man, sustained life-threatening head injuries and was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital.

The driver, a 65-year-old Westbrook woman, was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Rockhampton Hospital.
