Police are appealing for public assistance to locate missing Footscray man Sandor.
The 81-year-old was last seen at Flinders Street Railway Station where he was dropped off to catch a train to his Footscray home after spending time with a friend about 1pm today.
He failed to return to his care facility and was reported missing.
Police have concerns for Sandor’s welfare as he has several medical conditions that requires 24-hour care and the current wet weather conditions.
Sandor is known to frequent the Footscray and North Melbourne areas.
He was last seen wearing grey pyjamas pants, a zip-up top and slip-on shoes.
Investigators have released an image of Sandor in the hope someone recognises him and provides information on his current whereabouts.
Sandor is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 157cm tall, with a medium build, tanned skin, a bald head with white hair on the sides and bushy eyebrows.
He has a strong Hungarian accent and speaks limited English.
