Police are currently searching and appeal for public assistance to help locate missing Kilsyth man Eric.
The 85-year-old was at his Bainbridge Court home about 6.30am this morning and has not been seen since.
Eric’s dog which was believed to be with him was handed into a vet in Kilsyth about 5.45pm this afternoon.
Police and family have concerns for Eric’s welfare due to his age and that it is out of character for him.
Eric may be travelling in a green mobility scooter and is known to frequent the Mooroolbark and Kilsyth areas.
Eric is described as having a long white beard, 165cm tall and was wearing a peaked cap, woollen grey jacket and blue tracksuit pants.
Police have released an image of Eric in the hope that someone can provide information on his current whereabouts.
Local police with the assistance of SES and Air Wing are searching the Kilsyth and surrounding areas.
