Police are appealing for information following a building fire at Speers Point in Lake Macquarie.
About 3.50am (Wednesday 27 November 2024), emergency services were called to Main Road, Speers Point, following reports of a fire.
Officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District attended and found a council building alight.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews worked to extinguish the blaze; however, the building sustained extensive damage.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
Police established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Lake Macquarie Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
