Police seek information on Property Offences

Northern Territory Police are calling for information following property offences overnight.

Sometime before 1:00am, a silver Volkswagen Amarok utility was stolen from a residence in Jingili. It is believed that a Tikka T3 Varmint Stainless .223 Rifle was inside the vehicle when it was stolen.

About 1:15am, two males believed to be using the stolen ute allegedly unlawfully entered two separate commercial premises in Coolalinga.

About 3:40am, the ute was fuelled at a petrol station in Jingili without payment being made. Some time later, it was found in bushland at Marlow’s Lagoon.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident and General Duty members are currently investigating and are seeking assistance from the public to identify and locate the two males and the outstanding firearm.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan APM said, “We don’t believe the firearm was the target of this theft however, we are actively seeking to locate it”.
