Police seek information on Unlawful entry – Palumpa

In the early hours this morning, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received multiple reports from members of the Palumpa Community reporting a break-in at the local store.

Approximately ten offenders, believed to be youths and young adults, were reported breaking into the store. The group arrived in three stolen vehicles.

Peppimenarti members were recalled and attended the scene. Upon arrival, it was determined that the alleged offenders had caused extensive damage and stolen property with a combined value of approximately $10,000.

During the response, attending members successfully recovered one stolen motor vehicle that was reported stolen from Darwin over the previous weekend. The two other stolen vehicles fled the scene.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage, and the offenders are believed to be from the Wadeye region.

Anyone with information or who has witnessed the vehicles around the area is urged to contact police on 131 444. Residents are encouraged to contact authorities with tips or details related to the incident.
