Police seek witnesses – Burpengary East shooting incident

Moreton Police have commenced Operation Sierra Cristo in response to a drive-by shooting at Burpengary East on Friday, January 3, with police appealing for public assistance to help locate three vehicles of interest.

Between 1pm and 2pm on Friday shots were fired into a house in Nectar Way from a vehicle. No-one was injured.

It is believed that at least three vehicles were involved, and they would have most likely attracted the attention of the public due to their manner of driving in and around the Burpengary East estate.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw the vehicles (images below) or anyone with relevant dashcam or home CCTV of the vehicles or similar vehicles to contact them.

Police believe the vehicles and their occupants will be known to people in the Burpengary and Caboolture areas.

Anyone with any information which could assist with this investigation is urged to contact police (details below).

If anyone sights the vehicles, they are urged not to approach but immediately contact police.
