Police from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle rollover on Kinkuna Beach yesterday (Sunday, May 17).
Preliminary information suggests a 2002 silver Toyota Landcruiser 4WD was travelling along the beach at Kinkuna in the Burrum Coast ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park at around 9.50am when the driver lost control with the vehicle rolling a number of times before coming to rest on its roof.
The RACQ LifeFlight helicopter transported the driver, a 36-year-old Baraga woman to Bundaberg Base Hospital with serious injuries.
Two young children were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
It is believed other people may have been in the vehicle at the time of the crash with investigators asking them to contact police (details below).
Police are also appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or the vehicle driving prior to the crash, to contact them.
