Police seeking public information following armed robbery at Glenorchy

Police are seeking public information as they investigate an armed robbery at Glenorchy last night.

Around 8.15pm, a person entered a store on Brent Street and threatened the staff member.

The offender stole the cash register containing a quantity of cash, and a Microsoft Surface Pro iPad and printer, before fleeing the scene on foot.

The offender ran out of the store, across the car park and over Tolosa Street to another person.

It is believed the two people then ran down Vieste Drive where they discarded several of the stolen items.

It is alleged the offender who entered the store was armed with a knife at the time of the incident. He is described as 15-16 years old, around 178cm, of normal build, wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled up, black mask covering his mouth and part way up his nose.

The employee was not physically injured.

Police are actively investigating the incident and ask anyone who saw the offender or has information to come forward.
