Police Update 1: Firearm Discharged in Deagon, QLD

Carseldine Criminal Investigations Branch is continuing to appeal for information following the break in at a Deagon home this morning, December 19.

Police were called to an Edith Street property shortly after midnight following reports of a disturbance and a firearm being discharged.

Initial investigations indicate one of the offenders shot a glass door to gain access to the home where they were confronted by the occupants.

The offender then shot a chair and the occupants fled to a neighbouring home.

Offenders disturbed several items in the home, but it is believed nothing was stolen.

Early investigations suggest it may be a targeted attack.

The offenders were seen entering a white Subaru Outlander and fleeing the scene in the direction of Rainbow Street, Sandgate.

A crime scene was declared and investigations are ongoing.

Detective Inspector John Mison says police are appealing for information on the movements and whereabout of the white Subaru Outlander.

“Detectives will examine all avenues of enquiry, including ballistics testing, and all witness accounts to locate these offenders.

“Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage, particularly in relation to the vehicle, is urged to come forward.”
