Detectives investigating the alleged serious assault of a man at Torquay on September 5 have charged a man with grievous bodily harm.
He was denied police bail and is due to appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court today.
A 45-year-old Torquay man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition following the September 5 incident.
The 32-year-old Torquay man has also been charged with four offences for unrelated matters including serious assault of a person over 60, wilful damage, possess dangerous drugs and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
