A 25-year-old Wynnum man has been arrested and charged over a number of alleged matters including robbery and dangerous operation of a vehicle following a successful public appeal by police.
Police will allege at 10.20pm on October 15 in the car park of a business on Lutwyche Road, Windsor the man approached a 22-year-old woman and produced a firearm, demanding the keys to her vehicle.
The man then allegedly entered the victim’s vehicle and drove to a Lawnton address.
A short time later the victim managed to escape on foot and hide nearby, before later reporting the matter to police.
Then around midday on October 16 police will allege the man was observed by police driving dangerously in the same vehicle.
The man was located at a Boronia Heights address on November 4 and arrested by police without incident.
He has since been charged with demanding property with menaces with intent to steal, deprivation of liberty, armed robbery in company and used personal violence, unlawful use of motor vehicles and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
The man has been refused police bail and is due to appear before the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on November 7.
