A 36-year-old Kingston man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged incident in Kingston this morning.
It will be alleged, about 7.45am, police and emergency services were called to a residence on Kingston Court to reports a man and female were involved in an altercation.
It will be further alleged; the man has produced a lighter and lit a 34-year-old woman on fire.
She was treated by paramedics at the scene and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.
The Kingston man has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, common assault, and breach of domestic violence. Police opposed bail.
He is expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday, January 20.
