Police have arrested three juveniles in relation to the break in and assault of a woman in West End in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Around 2.30am on March 19, the 80-year-old woman awoke to three juveniles in her Stagpole Street residence.
Police will allege, one of the offenders hit her over the head with a metal bar, before handing her a mobile phone and telling her to call an ambulance.
The teens then demanded some of the woman’s belongings, but were unsuccessful, and stole drinks from her fridge before fleeing.
At 1.30pm today, investigators arrested a teenage girl and two teenage males were arrested at 2.30pm. The three teens are assisting police with their enquiries.
Investigators continue to appeal for anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage or who may have witnessed anything in or around Stagpole Street between 2am and 3.30am to contact police.
