The Major Crime Unit has charged a 19-year-old man with murder after the in Jingili on Sunday.
Detectives have now charged him with one count of Murder and one count of Aggravated robbery. He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
Two males, aged 15 and 16, have been charged with two counts of Aggravated robbery for their alleged involvement in incidents in Karama and Rapid Creek just prior to the incident in Jingili. Both were remanded to appear in court today.
Another male, aged 17, was arrested last night and has been charged with one count of Aggravated robbery for the incident in Rapid Creek. He was bailed to appear in court on 17 April 2023.
Investigations remain ongoing and police are appealing to the public to check their private and business CCTV, and dash camera footage for the movements of a 2014 blue Toyota Camry with Northern Territory registration CE71BI between 5pm Sunday 19 March and 4am Monday 20 March. The vehicle is believed to have been in the suburbs of Karama, Alawa, Coconut Grove, Jingili and Rapid Creek. Anyone with information is urged to make contact on 131 444.
