Police update: Fatal traffic crash at Bundaberg 13 December

Police have charged a 25-year-old Bundaberg man with manslaughter following an investigation into a fatal traffic crash in Isis Central (Bundaberg) in August and are renewing an appeal for truck drivers and other motorists in the vicinity of the crash to come forward with witness accounts or dashcam vision.

Around 6.00pm on Wednesday August 13, four men were traveling east in a white holden commodore station wagon at the intersection of Adies Road and the Bruce Highway when the vehicle lost its rear passenger-side trye before leaving the roadway and rolling into a drainage ditch.

A 19-year-old Apple Tree Creek man, who was the front seat passenger, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Wide Bay Burnett Forensic Crash Investigators yesterday charged a 25-year-old Millbank man with one count of Manslaughter.

He was denied police bail and appeared in Bundaberg Magistrates Court today, Tuesday December 13.

Forensic crash investigators are renewing an appeal for motorists, especially truck drivers in the vicinity of the Bruce Highway near Adies Road between 5.50pm-6.15pm on Wednesday August 13 who have yet to be interviewed by police to come forward, especially those who may have witnessed the crash or the moments leading to up to it, including the commodore’s manner of driving.
