Police have charged a teenage boy in relation to the alleged theft of a vehicle which was involved in a fatal traffic crash in Maryborough on May 1.
Police will allege the Mercedes-Benz was stolen from a Maryborough residence at 8.40pm on Sunday, April 30.
Around 10.45pm on May 1, the stolen vehicle was then involved in an alleged fatal car crash, killing three women aged 17, 29 and 52.
The second teenage boy who has been charged was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Police have found no evidence a passenger ran from the alleged stolen Mercedes-Benz after the crash as initially suggested.
A 13-year-old Maryborough boy has been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of motor vehicle and one count each of driving without a licence and possessing dangerous drugs.
He is due to re-appear in court at a later date.
