Detectives have charged a man in relation to the death of another man at Earlville on January 28.
Just after 11pm, police were called to reports of a disturbance at a Downing Street residence on Tuesday night.
An altercation occurred between a group of people which resulted in a 28-year-old man receiving a fatal injury.
The man was driven to Cairns Hospital by another man and a woman where he was pronounced deceased.
A 27-year-old Earlville man has been arrested and charged with one charge of murder and he will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today (January 30).
