Detectives have charged a man following investigations into a shooting at Surfers Paradise last year.
Officers were called to a hotel complex on the corner of Cavill Avenue and the Gold Coast Highway shortly before 11pm on June 15 following reports a man had been shot.
The 18-year-old man was standing on the balcony of a unit when a suspected firearm was discharged from a neighbouring unit, striking the man in his left upper arm.
Today, detectives issued a 27-year-old man with a Notice to Appear on a charge of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is expected to face Southport Magistrates Court on March 26.
