Police have charged eight people following the track of a stolen vehicle in Brisbane today.
It is alleged the silver Mercedes Benz was stolen from a Wade Street, Virginia, address overnight, February 5.
Police will allege the car was tracked by POLAIR and sighted driving across Brisbane’s north and south.
The car was tracked to Vincent Street in Indooroopilly where it will be alleged officers recovered the damaged vehicle.
Police subsequently took eight teenagers into custody nearby.
A 14-year-old Inala boy was charged with 17 offences including enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted enter premises, enter premises and commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property, driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence, dangerous operation of a vehicle and fraud – dishonestly make off without paying.
He is due before Brisbane Childrens Court on February 6.
A 16-year-old Durack girl was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of fraud – dishonestly make off without paying. She is due before Brisbane Childrens Court on February 14.
A 13-year-old Acacia Ridge boy was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due before Brisbane Childrens Court on February 14.
A 15-year-old Ellen Grove girl was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due before Brisbane Childrens Court on February 14.
A 17-year-old Mount Gravatt boy was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and contravene police direction. He is due before Brisbane Childrens Court on February 17.
A 15-year-old Inala boy was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due before Brisbane Childrens Court today, February 5.
A 17-year-old Inala girl has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due before Brisbane Childrens Court on February 24.
An 18-year-old Inala man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due before Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 21.
