A man has been charged following investigations into a fatal explosion in North Mackay yesterday.
Just before 2am on April 2, emergency services responded to reports an explosion had occurred at a Malcolmson Street, trailer manufacturing business.
It will be alleged two men attempted to set alight a shipping container belonging to someone known to them when the explosion occurred.
A 30-year-old Beaconsfield man was located deceased at the scene.
A 50-year-old man Mackay man has been charged with arson, enter with intent, wilful damage and four counts of contravening a domestic violence order.
He is due to appear before the Mackay Magistrates Court today.
