A first constable has been charged with assault following an internal investigation.
The 28-year-old male officer from southern metro region has been charged with common law assault.
The alleged incident took place while the officer was on-duty in Hampton Park in June 2019.
He has been summoned to appear at a magistrates’ court at a later date.
