Sunshine Coast Council is gearing up for the holiday season with a focus on responsible pet ownership. Animal lovers and owners are invited to visit the education pop-up booths scattered across the region to learn how to make sure their pets are safe and happy.
Council Education Officers at the pop-up booths will provide valuable information on various topics, including where you can exercise your dog, keeping pets and wildlife safe, and sharing public spaces with our whole community. Additionally, pet owners can learn about the importance of registration and microchipping, addressing barking dog concerns and the various Council education programs available.
Visitors to the our pop-up booths across the Sunshine Coast can also pick up some pawsome freebies for their dogs and fun activities for the kids!
Sunshine Coast Council Animal Education Supervisor Hannah Maloney said that the pop-up booths aim to promote a harmonious environment for all, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
“These pop-ups allow pet owners to talk to our highly experienced, animal loving team of Education Officers, gaining insights into a range of topics to help them look after their furry friends,” Hannah said.
“Taking a proactive approach helps prevent issues such as lost pets and conflicts in shared spaces.”
The Sunshine Coast community is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to become top dogs in responsible pet ownership. With the right knowledge and preparation, both pets and their owners can have a tail-wagging good time this holiday season.
