Police are investigating a service station robbery at Port Wakefield in the early hours of this morning.
About 1am on Wednesday 13 September, three men entered the service station on Port Wakefield Highway, one armed with a crowbar and stole cash and cigarettes.
The staff members were restrained with cable ties whilst the men attempted to break into the safe using a concrete cutter.
About one hour later members of the public arrived at the service station and disturbed the suspects who took off through the rear of the building and left in a gun metal gray coloured Holden Statesman sedan, last seen heading south on Port Wakefield Highway.
Police searched the area but have not yet located the suspects.
The suspects were wearing dark jumpers and pants with dark cloth face coverings, when they entered the store the men put on high vis vests.
Crime scene investigators attended and are processing the scene.
