A 40-year-old Tannum Sands man has been charged with 34 offences after investigations into a number of breaks in the Tannum Sands and Boyne Island area.
It will be alleged between July 30, 2024 and February 1, 2025, the man entered 13 addresses across Tannum Sands, Boyne Island, stealing a number of tools, and a quantity of property.
On Thursday, January 30, Tannum Sands police executed a search warrant at an address on Pleasant Avenue, locating over $30,000 worth of alleged stolen property.
It will be further alleged during the search police located a used needle and syringe, and restricted medication.
On Tuesday, February 4, police located the 40-year-old man in bushland off Leferink Road, Benaraby, and a foot pursuit commenced before police apprehended the 40-year-old man with the assistance of Gladstone Dog Squad in the Boyne River.
It will be further alleged upon searching the 40-year-old man, police located a clip seal bag containing an amount of cannabis.
A 40-year-old Tannum Sands man has been charged with 12 counts of enter dwelling and commit, 12 counts of receiving stolen property, two counts of enter premises and commit, and one count each of enter dwelling with intent to commit, fail to dispose of needle and syringe, stealing property of value exceeding $5000, assault police, obstruct police, breach of bail, unlawful possessing of restricted drugs and possessing dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear before Gladstone Magistrates Court today, February 5.
