Property offenders charged at Oakey

Toowoomba detectives yesterday charged two teenage boys with a string of property offences mainly committed in the Oakey area.

It will be alleged over the last 12 nights the boys have broken into schools, cars, businesses and houses often stealing car keys and vehicles.

A 13-year-old Oakey boy has been charged with ten counts of burglary, nine break and enter offences, five counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle and one count of wilful damage.

A 16-year-old Oakey boy has been charged with eleven counts of burglary, ten break and enter offences, six counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle and one count of receiving tainted property.

Both appeared in the Toowoomba Children’s Court today.

This follows the arrest of four other teenage boys earlier this week for a total of 44 break and enter and unlawful use charges in the Oakey area.
