Hawkesbury City Council is inviting community members to view and comment on Council’s Draft 2024/2025 Operational Plan, which is on public exhibition until Tuesday, 7 May 2024 at
The Draft 2024/2025 Operational Plan has been developed to outline the proposed projects, programs, and activities for 2024/2025. It also includes information about rates, fees and charges and estimated income and expenditure.
Some of the highlights of the Draft Operational Plan include budgets of:
- $107.6 million on improving local roads and drainage
- $39.8 million on upgrading public spaces, parks, sports and recreation facilities
- $45.6 million on community and culture including local events, our Libraries, Gallery and Museum
- $39.1 million on waste collection, landfill and sewer.
Key initiatives will include:
- $129 million Capital Works Program focused on flood recovery, asset renewal and Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Projects
- 130 key actions for delivery across a wide range of services
- Engagement, design and commencement of construction on the city shaping Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Projects
- Strategy and policy implementation to deliver on key environmental, economic, governance and social outcomes
- Continuing to provide and improve services for our community.
Council welcomes comments from community members on the Draft Plan, the Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Sarah McMahon said.
“Now is your chance to have a say on the key services, projects, initiatives, and actions Council has planned for 2024/2025,” Mayor McMahon said.
“We encourage as many people as possible to take some time to find out about Council’s budget and the projects planned for the year ahead.
“We value your feedback, and all submissions will be considered as part of the Draft Operational Plan consultation process. Whether you make a submission by mail, email or online, we want to ensure that everyone has the chance to comment before the closing date,” she said.
