Australia’s top cyclists and paracyclists will compete for the coveted green-and-gold national championship jersey from 8 – 12 January 2025, with Perth’s very own Jai Hindley set to take part.

The Championships will transform city streets into a cycling hub, giving fans the chance to cheer on legendary riders or take on the challenge themselves across a variety of scheduled races.

Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said the City of Perth is thrilled to sponsor the five-day event, which will showcase the best of Perth to cyclists from around Australia over the next three summers.

“The City of Light is excited to play host to such an iconic Aussie race this summer, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to our beautiful city.

“We look forward to bringing more activity and life to our city during the quieter period after Christmas and New Year’s, and with the City of Perth hosting this event through to 2027, it promises to be a highlight for years to come.

“We’re proud that Northbridge will be on show as part of the circuit, and I know the people of Perth will rally together to create a vibrant fan zone atmosphere in the heart of our cultural centre.”

AusCycling’s Executive General Manager for Sport, Kipp Kaufmann, said, “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing Australia’s premier road cycling event to Perth.

“Perth sports fans can expect an incredible spectacle across the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Championships, especially on Friday evening in Northbridge and Sunday in Kings Park and the CBD.

“The competition will be thrilling, and the atmosphere will be sensational, as some of the world’s best athletes come to race in the heart of the city.

“We can’t wait for the action to begin, and we wish to thank Tourism WA, the City of Perth and the WA Government for the opportunity to take this event to such a beautiful and iconic location.”
