PHOTOGRAPHERS of the Clarence Valley have the chance to win $500 this summer in the annual Clarence Valley InFocus photo competition.
Entries are now open for the 2022 competition, with photographers encouraged to snap their images of life in the Clarence Valley through the lens of this year’s theme, home.
There are five prizes to be won, with a total prize value of $2200.
Three prize categories are based on the type of camera used; mobile phone or tablet; digital/SLR and compact camera.
A cash prize of $500 will be awarded for the image chosen to represent the plunge Arts & Culture Festival and a $200 encouragement prize will be given to a photographer under 25 years of age.
All winning images will also be displayed in at the Grafton Regional Gallery during the plunge Arts & Culture Festival in April.
Gallery director Niomi Sands said she was surprised and delighted each year to see how people interpreted the theme.
“We are looking forward to seeing the winners on display in the large-scale format at the gallery during the plunge festival,” she said.
“³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ is at the heart and soul of who we are, it is our sense of place and belonging.
“We are excited to see how photographers interpret this theme through the lens of a camera.”
Winners will be judged by local, award winning photographers. Entrants must upload their photographs by 5pm, 9 January 2022.
