Two men have be arrested after they allegedly broke into the old Fort Largs Police Academy at Taperoo overnight.
Just before 3.30am on Tuesday 9 July, police patrols were called to the old Police Academy on Lady Gowrie Drive, after a police security patrol noticed torch lights inside the unused old site.
Western District patrols quickly set up cordons around the perimeter and called in a police dog patrol to search the area.
Police Dog Ben loves a search and he quickly located one man within a few minutes. Ben continued his search eventually sniffing out a second suspect found upstairs in the old mess building.
A 38-year-old man from Salisbury and a 47-year-old man from Blackwood were both arrested for being unlawfully on premises and going equipped to commit and offence.
The Salisbury man has been bailed to appear in court a later date, but the Blackwood man was also in breach of pre-existing bail conditions so he will appear Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
